Have you ever had a coffee and thought, is this really coffee? This is one of those. The strawberry flavor hits you in the head. Not a little, but really super bizarre! Sweet, clean and tasty.

This is not without reason, because this coffee has undergone a very special fermentation process.

After removing the pulp, the coffee beans are anaerobically fermented with dried strawberries for five days, allowing them to absorb rich, fruity flavors.

The beans are then mechanically dried for ten days to ensure consistent moisture, followed by a five-day stabilization period.

The story

Born and raised in Acevedo, Huila, Colombia, Brayan Alvear lives and breathes coffee. Raised on a bustling farm in San Adolfo, he learned the secrets of coffee from his father at a young age. Those after-school lessons became his inspiration and led to a big dream: to share the rich flavors of his coffee with the world.

Together with 60 fellow producers, including his family, Brayan produces unique coffees of the highest quality. His “Juicy Strawberry” coffee is a masterpiece of innovation: a blend of Caturra, Castillo and Colombian varieties, fermented with dried strawberries for an unparalleled taste. Thanks to a meticulous process – from fermentation to drying – this coffee shines with notes of strawberry, milk chocolate and a hint of malic acid.

Brayan's mission? To let the world enjoy the full, rich flavor of San Adolfo's finest coffee. Get your cup ready, because he's brewing something special!

It's not normal how fruity

As soon as you open the bag you are overwhelmed by the smell of fruit, lots of strawberries.
This smell continues to spread while the coffee is brewing.
The coffee tastes very good, lots of fruit and complexity.
Quite light in colour, all in all a delicious cup of coffee!
After the first bag I immediately ordered two more ;)

Impressive!

I'm not a fan of infusions and or added flavors (adding dried fruit to give coffee bean flavor) but this turned out great!

When opening the packaging, an intense scent of fresh strawberries hits you. When I pour it, a sweet, fruity aroma spreads, but during the blooming this coffee really comes to life: a delicate floral scent rises, as if you are sticking your nose in a bouquet of red roses, mixed with the sweetness of ripe red fruit. I think of raspberry muffins, fresh from the oven (that warm buttery sweetness) perfectly balanced with the freshness of the fruit.

The first sip confirms all this: an explosion of strawberry flavours, sweet and bright, with subtle undertones of milk chocolate. Where the acidity was initially reminiscent of malic acid, a more refined prosecco-like crispness now transforms, like you would find in a Granny Smith apple. The body is silky and creamy and the finish is long; refreshing and layered.

Most delicious and special and sweet coffee I've had. Delicious! For the funky coffee lover I think.
