The story

In the hills of Rutabo, Rwanda, farmers have been working the same land for generations, but only recently have they started to organize as a collective. Thanks to Abakundakawa’s efforts, they have improved their processing methods, shared knowledge, and started investing in a sustainable future. To combat the aging of the sector, they founded the Ishema Group, a collective of young coffee farmers who are passionately and dedicatedly pursuing coffee farming and revitalizing their communities.

This organic light roast, Bloom, symbolizes that renewal and growth. Just as these young entrepreneurs make their surroundings bloom, the coffee reveals refined notes of orange blossom, plum and black tea, with a fresh acidity and a soft finish. Perfect for pour-over preparations, where the bright and lively flavors can come into their own. ☕️🌿
