Before you buy: 5 things to consider when purchasing a Jura coffee maker

Selecting the best Jura coffee machines goes much further than a superficial look at the design. Although Jura is known for their aesthetically pleasing and sleekly designed machines, there are numerous other factors to consider to make the best choice for you.

The capacity of the water tank, the type of coffee the machine can make (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.), the methods of cleaning, descaling and maintenance and the quality of the materials are all important aspects to consider.

Moreover, ease of use also plays a major role; the best Jura coffee machines are those that are easy to use and maintain. Last but not least, is the price. J

ura coffee machines tend to be on the pricey side, so it's important to consider your budget when choosing the best machine for you. With these factors in mind, selecting the ideal Jura coffee machine becomes a lot easier and you can confidently make the best choice.

Product 1: Jura E8

Jura e8

Unique features:

  • In addition to standard drinks such as espresso and cappuccino, you can also prepare the trendy flat white with the Jura E8 . You can prepare a total of 17 coffee specialties with E8.
  • Operation via a color display with 6 buttons.
  • The Jura E8 is in the medium range of the Jura models with a price around €1000-1300.
  • Jura's bestseller for the home.

The best Jura coffee machine for:

People who want to use the coffee machine at home and (also) prefer coffee with milk. This machine is not suitable for business use, but it does offer very good quality coffee specialties. Including coffee specialties with milk.

Notable features:

  1. The Jura E8 is Jura's best-selling fully automatic espresso machine!
  2. The standard Jura E8 does not have a touch screen. I am personally a fan of that, because all the extra technology also makes a machine more vulnerable to defects and maintenance.
  3. The Jura E8 coffee machine produces really delicious espressos. I am a fan!

Overview:

The Jura E8 is the most popular among the Jura coffee machines. Why this model is one of the best Jura coffee machines is partly due to its high-quality design.

The Jura E8 has been on the market since 2015, and the first models released are often still in use! And that says something about a fully automatic coffee machine, full of technology, which at the same time also becomes more vulnerable to defects...

Jura E8 2

The Jura E8 is a fully automatic espresso machine with a built-in coffee grinder. The coffee grinder has 5 adjustable grinding degree options, which in practice works just as well as a stepless coffee grinder.

The range is not much smaller than with a stepless coffee grinder. Naturally, this grinding degree range is a lot smaller than with a semi-automatic setup, but you have to settle for that if you choose the best Jura coffee machine.

The Jura E8 is of course beautiful to look at, which is not entirely unimportant, but especially its long lifespan with proper maintenance (and a bit of luck) is an important aspect that I would personally certainly put high on my list of things that I consider important. .

The Jura E8 makes quite a lot of coffee specialties, but in my opinion it is usually not that interesting. Take a look at the coffee drinks that you actually drink (or would drink if you owned the Jura E8) and then make a choice.

I doubt whether the Jura E8 is also the best Jura coffee machine if you never drink milk coffees.

What is striking is that it can also prepare the trendy Flat White, for example!

What is also nice, but this E8 model is not alone in this, is the easy one-touch milk system cleaning program, which means you do not easily risk bacteria formation in your milk system. Certainly useful in a busy life!

Differences with other Jura models from this overview:

  • Unlike the more expensive Jura Z10, the Jura E8 does not have a touchscreen, but it does have a larger color display than its little brother E6.
  • The Jura E8 is a bit more expensive to purchase compared to the Jura A1, but you can prepare milk coffee specialties with it, if that is important to you.
  • The Jura E8 is cheaper than the S8, which does have a touchscreen.
  • The Jura E8 brews 17 coffee specialties, which is more than the ENA 4, ENA 8 and E6, but less than the S8 and Z10.

Jura e8 3

Pro tip:

The thorough cleaning program that you run after about 80 minutes of coffee ensures that you cannot use the machine for about 20 minutes.

So make sure you have this program in place before a busy birthday party so you don't run out of coffee!

Pros:

  • If you make a Lungo with a fully automatic espresso machine, you often get a watery cup of coffee, but with the Jura E8 it is a really tasty and creamy drink! As long as you use good, freshly roasted coffee beans, of course.
  • The built-in coffee grinder is quite quiet!
  • The reservoirs for the water and coffee beans are just the right size in my opinion.

Cons:

  • You cannot make two milk coffees at the same time with the Jura E8.
  • All Jura coffee machines have a closed system where you cannot rinse the brewing group yourself. I'm personally not a fan of this, because you can't exactly see whether all the leftovers have been rinsed clean, but some coffee lovers swear by this. It is nice and easy, on the other hand.

Briefly:

It is not without reason that the Jura E8 deserves our first place among the best Jura coffee machines. It is Jura's best-selling machine and we are very pleased with its price-quality ratio!

In my opinion, its functions are a bit of an overkill when it comes to the 17 coffee specialties, and sometimes I could use a few extra grinding degrees.

But all in all, even with the quiet coffee grinder and the easy cleaning programs, we highly recommend this Jura coffee machine! As far as we are concerned, the Jura E8 is the best Jura coffee machine available.

Product 2: Jura Z10

Jura Z10

Unique features:

  • The Jura Z10 can prepare both hot and cold coffee drinks, making it a uniquely versatile device.
  • The device is equipped with an energy saving mode, which allows energy consumption to be optimized.
  • The device features a user-friendly touchscreen control panel and a clear screen for effortless navigation, fully electronic operation.
  • The grinding degree is infinitely adjustable.
  • The grind becomes electronic and automatically adjusted to suit the coffee beans used and the selected coffee drink.

The best Jura coffee machine for:

People who are always up for something new in terms of fun new technologies because this Jura coffee machine can also make cold coffee!

This is certainly not interesting for everyone, but if you are a lover of an espresso with an ice cube - this is your best Jura coffee machine!

Notable features:

  1. You can also prepare cold coffees with this. This is quite unique!
  2. The coffee machine is quite expensive. You have to be willing to do this.
  3. The grinding degree options are infinitely adjustable, ideal if you want to be somewhere in between.

Jura z10 3

Overview:

As far as I'm concerned, the Jura Z10 is a really interesting choice if you have this budget and are up for something really special in the coffee world. I think the special electronic grinder ( Product Recognising Grinder - PRG) is really worth mentioning, because this coffee grinder seems to adapt its grinding degree to the coffee beans used.

The advice is therefore not to simply depend on the grinding degree, but first to play with, for example, the coffee strength. This gives you extra convenience when testing different coffee types.

As you might expect, what makes this Jura coffee machine really unique is the option to also make cold coffee. Although this should not officially/technically be called a cold brew, as I also describe at the bottom of this section under 'disadvantages', it is really a very nice addition to be able to also make cold espressos and Americanos.

It is at room temperature, as far as I have been able to discover, but there is no actual cooling in it. So I would add an ice cube to it...

But I think the Jura coffee machine is quite pricey! With a price of around 2500 euros, depending on your choices, it is really a high-end machine that you should have the budget for.

Together with the good dose of technology, it is of course also more susceptible to defects, but my advice would be to invest enough time, attention and money in cleaning, descaling and maintenance of your machine by a certified party, so that you minimizes that chance.

Unfortunately, I cannot judge whether this is the best Jura coffee machine for you, that really depends on your requirements for a coffee machine. The Jura Z10 has previously been featured in one of our blogs about the best fully automatic coffee machines .

Differences with other Jura models from this overview:

  • Compared to the Jura E8, the Jura Z10 coffee machine has a better and more user-friendly grinder, which ensures tastier coffees.
  • Compared to the Jura E8, the Jura Z10 coffee machine has a better milk system, several users rate the milk foam of the Jura Z10 as a lot better!
  • The Jura Z10 is the only one with the option to also prepare cold coffees.
  • The Jura Z10 has a larger water reservoir (2.4l) than the Jura E6 and Jura E8, which can both hold 1.9l.
  • The Jura Z10 has a touchscreen, just like the ENA 8 and the S8. The Jura ENA 4, E6 and E8 do not have this.
  • The Jura Z10 coffee machine is a lot more expensive (more than €1000) than the Jura E8, so this difference is not worth it for everyone.

Pro tip:

In the settings of the Jura Z10, check the option for 'switch off after ... minutes/hour'. In any case, the machine goes into standby mode after 10 minutes and then consumes minimal electricity.

But every time the machine really turns off, for example after 30 minutes, and you want to turn it on again, the machine will start rinsing.

If you know that you regularly make cups of coffee in the morning until 12 o'clock, this is quite unnecessarily burdensome for your energy bill, so my advice is to stretch this period.

Jura Z10 2

Pros:

  • The special PRG coffee grinder (built-in) recognizes the coffee beans used and automatically adjusts the grind accordingly. This makes it easier to play with different types of coffee beans.
  • Milk foam is of very good quality and easily adjustable via the accompanying app.
  • The Jura Z10 coffee machine can prepare a total of 32 coffee specialties.

Cons:

  • No milk reservoir is included.
  • It is advertised as 'cold brew', but technically it is not cold brew but cold brewed espresso, Americano, etc. A cold brew often has hours of contact between ground coffee and water, and is then filtered.
  • The Jura Z10 coffee machine is a bit large and is therefore not completely suitable for everyone's countertop.

Briefly:

Yes. This Jura coffee machine is truly a beast when it comes to taste and options, but the price reflects that. The price tag is around €2500, which is quite high for a home coffee machine.

If you are looking for a solid coffee machine with a touchscreen and the option to make cold coffees, then this is the best Jura coffee machine for you.

However, I think that most coffee lovers, but of course not all, will be more than satisfied with the performance of our number 1: the Jura E8 coffee machine, and that the price is also a bit more reasonable than this one.

Our score [performance, features, value for money]:

8.5

Product 3: Jura E6

Jura E6

Unique features:

  • This Jura coffee machine can be purchased for under €1000.
  • The Jura E6 can make both a good espresso and a regular coffee, and has an option for milk coffees, which is a huge plus.
  • You can prepare a total of 11 coffee specialties with the Jura E6, the focus is on black coffees.
  • It is (just like the E8) a fairly compact machine, perfect for home kitchens. Compared to the Jura Z10, the E6 saves you a lot of counter space.

The best Jura coffee machine for:

People who only drink espressos, regular coffees and cappuccinos and do not place too many demands on their fully automatic espresso machine.

This Jura coffee machine can prepare these basic coffees very well, so if that's what you're looking for - look no further for the best Jura coffee machine.

For what it can prepare, this is excellent value for money in my opinion, with a competitive price (by Jura standards) under 1000 euros.

Notable features:

  1. The Jura E6 is the same size as the Jura E8, while it is intended to represent its smaller brother.
  2. The Jura E6 has been slightly stripped down in the number of coffee specialty preparations compared to the Jura E8.
  3. The espressos from the Jura E6 taste really good!

Jura e6 2

Overview:

All in all, the Jura E6 coffee machine is an excellent fully automatic machine, which is fairly on the cheap side considering the price range of Jura coffee machines. I would only recommend this Jura coffee machine if you mainly drink black coffees (espresso, lungo) and want to prepare a cappuccino occasionally.

If you drink milk coffees every day, this is not the best Jura coffee machine for you.

The preparation of the milk foam is not completely automatic, there is a lever that you have to open and close when the time comes.

Fine for every now and then, but not for daily cappuccinos in my experience. There is also no automatic rinse after frothing the milk, which makes the machine slightly more susceptible to (human) mistakes in forgetting to rinse and slightly more likely to form bacteria. You actually don't want this for a fully automatic machine.

The Jura E6 is the same size as the Jura E8 and the reservoirs are also the same size. Both models are a bit smaller than the Jura Z10, so this Jura coffee machine might be a better option for home kitchens.

Differences with other Jura models from this overview:

  • The Jura E6 has a smaller color display than the Jura E8.
  • The Jura E6 (together with the Jura E8) is slightly smaller in size than the Jura Z10, but larger than the ENA models further in this overview.
  • The Jura E6 cannot prepare Flat Whites, unlike the Jura E8 or Z10.

Jura e6 3

Pro tip:

A classic long/high latte macchiato glass usually does not fit under the height-adjustable coffee spout, so you could possibly use a slightly wider than tall glass if you really want to prepare this. Or pouring liquids over it, that is also possible!

Pros:

  • This Jura coffee machine can be called somewhat affordable because it can be purchased under €1000.
  • You can make a more than excellent espresso or cappuccino with this Jura coffee machine.
  • This stripped-down version of its bigger brother (the Jura E8) has an equally large water reservoir and bean container.

Cons:

  • You cannot prepare trendy Flat Whites with the Jura E6 coffee machine.
  • The milk pipes of the Jura E6 are not automatically flushed after each milk frothing session.
  • The operation is perceived as somewhat more complicated than most other modern Jura coffee machines.

Briefly:

I would recommend the Jura E6 if you are a mostly black coffee drinker, i.e. espresso and lungo. The machine can also prepare an excellent cappuccino with a few actions, but I don't think this is really suitable for daily use.

Considering the price under 1000 euros and the basic Jura technologies, I think the machine is worth considering.

Product 4: Jura ENA 4

Jura ena 4

Unique features:

  • The Jura ENA 4 is designed with a compact size, ideal for smaller kitchens.
  • The Jura ENA 4 specializes in preparing black coffee, making it perfect for the true coffee lover who enjoys a delicious espresso.
  • Unlike the Jura E6, the Jura ENA 4 is equipped with simple buttons for user-friendly operation.
  • The Jura ENA 4 does not have a milk system, making it unsuitable for preparing cappuccino or latte macchiato. This is an important aspect to keep in mind when looking for the best Jura coffee machine for you.

The best Jura coffee machine for:

People who only want to drink black coffee: espressos and regular coffees. I would also recommend this machine if you have a small household because this Jura coffee machine can only make 1 cup at a time and is compact in size!

Jura Ena 4 2

Notable features:

  1. The Jura ENA 4 has a small water reservoir of 1.1 l and a bean container of 125 grams.
  2. The Jura ENA 4 is a smaller coffee machine than the other Jura models.
  3. The quality of the black coffees from the Jura ENA 4 is really excellent!

Overview:

The basic Jura, called the Jura ENA 4, is a very simple, straightforward, fully automatic coffee machine that does what it is supposed to do: make coffee. And only make black coffee. In my opinion, the best Jura coffee machine if you are looking for a device for this assignment.

If you, like me, are a black coffee drinker who enjoys espressos and lungos, you can rejoice because the quality of the coffee is excellent.

You should consider whether the machine suits your household because the reservoirs for water and coffee beans are very small, but are probably large enough for 1 or 2 people.

The Jura ENA 4 is the smallest in overview, but not as tiny as a Nespresso machine or the like. So there will soon be a solid fully automatic espresso machine on your countertop.

Are you unsure because you sometimes receive visitors who do drink cappuccinos? Then read on for my pro tip!

Differences with other Jura models from this overview:

  • The Jura ENA 4 has a symbol display, so no color display (E6, E8) or touchscreen (Z10, ENA 8, S8).
  • The Jura ENA 4 is a bit smaller in size than the Jura E6 and E8.
  • The Jura ENA 4 is the only one in the overview that cannot prepare milk coffees.
  • The Jura ENA 4 (just like the ENA 8) has a small water and bean reservoir compared to the other models.
  • The Jura ENA 4 does not have a hot water spout, the ENA 8 does.
  • Jura Ena 4 3

Pro tip:

When you choose a coffee machine and you only drink black coffee, you often take into consideration that you want to be able to serve a cappuccino to any guests.

But for that sporadic milk coffee, an upgrade of several hundred euros is a waste in my opinion. Buy a separate milk frother that has been well reviewed and you are ready to go for birthday parties or other coffee visits!

Pros:

  • This Jura coffee machine is the cheapest Jura coffee machine at the moment.
  • You can make very tasty black coffee with this Jura coffee machine.
  • The Jura ENA 4 has a simple control panel which ensures ease of use.
  • I suspect based on my experience that the Jura ENA 4 is the least susceptible to defects due to the least amount of technical features.

Cons:

  • You cannot make two espressos or two lungos at the same time with the Jura ENA 4.
  • The reservoirs of the Jura ENA 4 are really on the small side, so this will require refilling quite often unless you really drink little coffee.

Briefly:

I would recommend the Jura ENA 4 for 1 or 2 person households that only want to prepare black coffee. The quality of these coffees is really good for the price of this machine, so if tapping espressos is really your thing, the Jura ENA 4 coffee machine is definitely your machine.

Product 5: JURA ENA 8

Jura Ena 8

Unique features:

  • Tastes differ, but personally I think the Jura ENA 8 has a beautiful elegant design that I would like to have in my kitchen!
  • This Jura coffee machine is a truly compact model, just like the Jura ENA 4.
  • The Jura ENA 8 also has a compact water and coffee bean reservoir.
  • This compact Jura coffee machine can also prepare milk specialties!
  • The Jura ENA 8 is surprisingly user-friendly thanks to the clear, simple control panel.
  • The Jura ENA 8 can prepare 15 coffee specialties.

The best Jura coffee machine for:

People who are looking for a compact basic fully automatic espresso machine from a solid brand like Jura, and who also drink milk coffees such as cappuccinos.

This Jura coffee machine is an excellent middle ground between the cheaper basic machine ENA 4 (which is only suitable for black coffees) and the more expensive models (which have all kinds of technical gadgets). But... in my opinion there is a better option. Read on for that.

JURA ENA 8 2

Notable features:

  1. The Jura ENA 8 has (just like the ENA 4) a small water reservoir of 1.1 l and a coffee bean reservoir of 125 grams. This can have advantages and disadvantages.
  2. The Jura ENA 8, together with the ENA 4, is a smaller coffee machine than the other Jura models.
  3. The quality of the coffee and the milk system are excellent.
  4. I personally think the machine is quite a gem to see.
  5. Although this is a cheaper Jura coffee machine than most others in this overview, the Jura ENA 8 has a touchscreen color display.

Overview:

Personally, I expected the Jura ENA 8 to be an ENA 4 + (plus). In other words, I expected the Jura ENA 8 to be a basic Jura coffee machine with a little more than the ENA 4.

But it is actually quite a bit more, because you can prepare milk coffees with the Jura ENA 8, prepare many more coffee specialties (including 2 cups at a time, for black coffees) and have a touchscreen color display.

Unfortunately, it is not at a "small" additional cost, because the Jura ENA 8 is almost 500 euros more expensive than the Jura ENA 4. In this case, that is almost double the purchase price of a Jura ENA 4.

Personally, I think that is really too much money for these extra functionalities, and I would personally rather opt for the slightly more solid Jura E8, as I mentioned earlier in this overview.

Nevertheless, with the Jura ENA 8 you can make really nice espressos and very good cappuccinos.

It is a beautiful machine to look at, and due to its compact dimensions it will most likely fit perfectly in your home kitchen. So it's certainly not the best Jura coffee machine for me, but maybe that's different for you...

But that compactness comes at a price: the reservoirs are just as small as the Jura ENA 4. Namely a 1.1l water reservoir and a 125 gram coffee bean reservoir. Now this can be both an advantage and a disadvantage.

The advantage is that you will have to refill/refresh often, so the water remains nice and fresh (you should actually replace it daily anyway) and the coffee beans in their original packaging enjoy much more protection against air/light/moisture than in a coffee machine reservoir.

But, if this Jura coffee machine is actually just too "small" for your household, you may have to refresh or refill it very often. Only you can estimate this...

Jura ena 8 3

Differences with other Jura models from this overview:

  • The Jura ENA 8 has a touchscreen color display, just like the S8 and Z10. The ENA 4 has a symbol display, the E6 and E8 a color display.
  • The Jura ENA 8 is in approximately the same price range as the E8 and is therefore more expensive than the ENA 4, but cheaper than the S8 and Z10.
  • The Jura ENA 8 is as small as the ENA 4.
  • Unlike its smaller brother ENA 4, the Jura ENA 8 can prepare milk coffees.
  • The Jura ENA 8 (just like the ENA 4) has a smaller water and coffee bean reservoir compared to the other models.
  • The Jura ENA 8, like most models, also has a hot water function, but the ENA 4 does not have this.

Pro tip:

You can store personal drinks with this Jura coffee machine. I would really like to advise you to really take the time to perfect your cup of coffee, but do so one adjustment at a time.

Otherwise you don't know which adjustment had a certain result. If you have made a desired adjustment with the correct result, save it as a personalized drink. This way you can further optimize every time.

Pros:

  • This Jura coffee machine ENA 8 is beautiful to look at
  • The Jura ENA 8 is compact in size, and therefore often fits better in your home kitchen than the larger models.
  • The Jura ENA 8 has relatively luxurious controls for the fact that it is a basic coffee machine.
  • The Jura ENA 8 makes very tasty coffee and makes beautiful milk foam.

Cons:

  • The machine is quite pricey compared to the simpler ENA model - ENA 4.
  • You cannot prepare two milk coffees at the same time.
  • The reservoirs of the Jura ENA 8, like those of the ENA 4, are on the small side, so this will require refilling quite often unless you really drink little coffee.

Briefly:

I could recommend the Jura ENA 8 for 1 or 2 person households that (also) want to be able to make milk coffees. The quality of all coffees is more than good, including the milk foam, but in my opinion the machine wins mainly based on its looks! Quite a nice piece of artwork in your kitchen, so to speak.

However, my conclusion is that I think the machine is a bit too expensive for its functionalities, compared to other Jura coffee machines and other brands.

Our score [performance, features, value for money]:

Product 6: JURA S8

Jura s8

Unique features:

  • The Jura S8 has a large, clear, high-resolution touchscreen that makes coffee preparation extremely easy.
  • The Jura S8 can prepare 27 different types of coffee, from espresso to latte macchiato.
  • With the Jura S8 you can save, multiply and personalize coffee specialties. This can be useful for getting the most out of your machine.

The best Jura coffee machine for:

People who are looking for a mid-range Jura espresso machine that can prepare many types of coffee specialties (but does not have to be able to make cold brew).

The S8 can prepare no fewer than 27 types of coffee, but personally I am never very sensitive to that. If that is important to you and you would like a touchscreen color display, then it may be worth considering the S8 as the best Jura coffee machine for your household!

Notable features:

  1. The Jura S8 can prepare 27 coffee specialties.
  2. The Jura S8 has a medium-sized water and coffee bean reservoir.
  3. This Jura coffee machine is quite expensive with a price tag of approximately €1500 .

Overview:

The Jura S8 is certainly a beautiful coffee machine, but is it the best Jura coffee machine on the market? I don't think for me, but maybe for you. Of course, this all depends on your wishes for a machine.

And this Jura coffee machine goes way above my wish list in terms of coffees (I am a black coffee drinker), but I can imagine that this is different for a milk coffee lover.

The large touchscreen color display is nice to look at, but does not work exceptionally fast. So you should certainly not compare it with the touchscreen of your smartphone. Yet it works better than a few years ago on these types of devices.

What I always mention is; the more technology, the more prone to defects. Of course, things on such a touchscreen sometimes break down over time, and it will also have a price tag to replace.

It is also a nice detail that this Jura coffee machine won the Red Dot Award in 2018, which is certainly not without reason and certainly contributes to the overall picture. Apart from that, I still think it is a fairly pricey machine. But hey, then you certainly have a nice copy.

In terms of size, I think the mentioned ENA models look better in the kitchen, but for a larger household than 1 to 2 people (coffee drinkers) I quickly find the reservoirs of those models on the small side.

Then the size of the S8 is a more suitable size. However, if you do not change the water often enough, you are more likely to develop bacteria and algae, so pay attention to that. Your coffee also stays fresher if it is not left in the coffee bean hopper for days or weeks.

To get back to the taste... It is excellent. I can't say anything else. The espressos are absolutely delicious and, as is the case with most other Jura models, the Lungos taste very tasty.

Milk system is perfect, but certainly also adaptable, making it suitable for both a Flat White and a Latte Machiatto.

Jura s82

Differences with other Jura models from this overview:

  • The Jura S8 has a touchscreen color display, just like the ENA 8 and the Z10. The display is the same size as that of the Z10.
  • In terms of price range, the Jura S8 is between the E8 and the Z10.
  • The S8 can prepare 27 coffee specialties, which is almost as many as the 32 of the Z10.
  • The Jura S8 has the same size water and coffee bean reservoir as the E6 and E8, larger than the ENA 4 and ENA8 and smaller than the Z10.
  • The Jura S8 is about the same size as the E8.
  • Just like the E8 and Z10, the S8 can prepare the trendy Flat White .
  • With the Jura S8 you can save, multiply and adjust drinks, just like with the Z10. That is not possible with the E8.

Pro tip:

Move the (personalized) coffee specialty in the menu, the way you like it best, so that you can easily access it next time!

Pros:

  • This Jura coffee machine won the Red Dot Award in 2018 .
  • The Jura S8 really has barista-worthy espresso quality - the basis for all other coffees!
  • Milk foam from the Jura S8 is perfect microfoam, adaptable for a Flat White or Latte Machiatto.

Cons:

  • Even though a touchscreen is completely modern, I think that this touchscreen does not respond as quickly and easily as we are generally used to.
  • The S8 is quite expensive compared to some other Jura coffee machines and other brands.
  • You cannot prepare two milk coffees at the same time with the Jura S8.

Jura s8 3

Briefly:

The Jura S8 makes exceptionally good coffees and many different specialties too! All that in a beautiful machine with a touchscreen. But, maybe it's just me... but do you actually need 27 types of coffee?

That question is of course up to you as a buyer. If so, and you have this budget, then this top Jura might be the best Jura coffee machine for you.

If you are not a fan of milk coffee, or if you only occasionally make a cup of cappuccino, then it is better to look a step lower. Because the price is not cheap. However, do you want even more functionalities? Then you can always take a look at the overview of the Z10!

How we chose these products

I imagine you are wondering how we chose these products for the comparison of the best Jura coffee machines. Because why is one machine in the overview of the best Jura coffee machine and the other is not? That's actually quite simple.

At the time of writing, we made a choice based on the current offering at Jura for the home market, in combination with our own experiences with these machines and many current user experiences.

Because we cannot determine the best Jura coffee machine based on our expertise alone, so we would like to include the mega mountain of user experiences in our comparison.

Many of our customers also use Jura coffee machines, so the experience of Zwarte Roes coffee beans in the Jura coffee machines also plays a role. There is also sometimes a lot of attention in the coffee world for certain models that produce excellent results, so we naturally consulted that source as well.
