Your coffee scrub in 5 minutes!

The many things you can do with coffee grounds... There are so many different uses for this byproduct that I want to dedicate a series of blog posts to it.

As conscious entrepreneurs, we believe it's crucial to continuously monitor our ecological footprint, and actually reducing waste is, of course, a very concrete step...

In this previous blog I already told you more about how you can make conscious choices with coffee.

We make coffee anyway... No coffee, no work, right? ;-) So we might as well do something more with the waste: coffee grounds in this case.

In part I of this series, I'll tell you what you can easily make with this: a coffee grounds facial scrub!

What do you need?

  1. fresh coffee grounds (coffee grounds mold quickly)
  2. an oil of your choice such as olive oil or coconut oil
  3. aloe vera gel (homemade or store-bought)

Make your own aloe vera gel

You can easily make your own aloe vera gel. You can also buy a jar from the store, of course, but here 's a recipe if you have a plant at home.

How to prepare a DIY Face Scrub

Mix one part coffee grounds (for example a tablespoon) with one part aloe vera gel, and add as much oil as you like.

Start with a very small amount and see if you want a firmer or more fluid consistency. Mix everything thoroughly and use immediately.

Applying coffee scrub

Once your mixture is ready, you can apply it to your face. Using clean hands, apply a generous layer to your cleansed face.

Let this soak in for about 5-10 minutes. Then you can rub it in thoroughly with an exfoliating scrub to remove all the dead skin cells.

The skin benefits of coffee will give your face a real boost and make your skin glow!

Rinse off and your skin will be silky soft!

Tell me... Have you tried it yet?
