Deze, single-origin medium+, roast uit Giraldo, Colombia is een ode aan de start van Zwarte Roes. Dit is hoe het eind 2017 allemaal begon en hoe wij vinden dat een espresso moet zijn. Deze washed Colombia zorgt voor een cleane koffie met een ijzersterke body die puur of met melk zijn mannetje staat. Vol met tonen van chocolade en roodfruit in de afdronk die je uren later nog steeds proeft en je weet waarom je je bed bent uitgekomen.

The story

De regio is van oudsher guerrillagebied waardoor het tientallen jaren ontoegankelijk is geweest. Het conflict heeft ongeveer 60 jaar geduurd en de lokale bevolking heeft hier flink onder geleden.

In 2018 heeft onze importeur zich hier gesetteld en zich hard heeft gemaakt voor betere educatie en koffieprijzen voor koffieboeren. Dit heeft bijgedragen aan meer stabiele inkomens in de regio en positieve visie voor de toekomst.
