The story

Decaf coffee used to be just super bad. The opinions about decaffeinated coffee are therefore not very positive either. But times change… At the time, this was largely due to the fact that the green coffee used for this process was of poor quality. For example, very old and cheap coffee was often used. Fortunately, we now know better. There are several known methods for decaffeinating a coffee bean. First of all, it is useful to know that the coffee bean grows as it normally does. Caffeine is therefore not released in the plant, but is a (in this case natural) processing afterwards.

Rich and flavorful decaf.
I always had a negative image about decaf coffee, like that it would be a somewhat fake. But this Decaf from Brasil tastes just like a 'regular' cup of coffee. Nice and full and also with the fruitiness that I often find in specialty coffee!

Meest smaakvolle decaf die wij hebben geprobeerd.

Doordat cafeïne hartkloppingen veroorzaakt bij mijn partner opzoek gegaan naar een goeie decaf koffie.
In deze zoektocht door persoonlijke voorkeur voor koffie afkomstig uit Brazilië uitgekomen op de decaf, deze smaakt naar mijn mening zeer dicht bij de echte boon.
Dit is mede te danken aan het feit dat de decaf van Zwarte roes niet donker gebrand wordt (zoals vaak wel wordt gedaan met decaf) maar een medium roast is waardoor de smaken van de boon niet verloren gaan.
Kortom voor ons de beste keuze in specialty decaf bonen

Heerlijke koffie!

Zo blij een lekkere decaf te hebben voor in m'n caffetiere.
Als ik het zakje open maak komt me de heerlijke geur van verse koffie al tegemoet.

Lang gezocht, goed gevonden!

Ik ben een echte koffiesnob maar kan sinds 2 jaar geen caffeïne meer verdragen. Na 2 jaar zoeken met hier en daar wat redelijke decafs en vooral niet lekkere ben ik bij Zwarte Roes uitgekomen. Eindelijk een echt waardige decaf! Deze decaf smaakt als een normale verse specialty boon en heerlijk als espresso of in cappucino's. Verpakkingen zijn hersluitbaar en zien er ook nog leuk uit. Dat maakt het af.
